Sautéing is by far one of my favorite ways to make dinner. It's easy, simple, healthy, and delicious. Tonight I sautéed some chard, red onion, and garlic in olive oil. Chard is a nutritional powerhouse as all dark, leafy greens are, and very low in calories.
I accompanied my sautéed delight with a little bit of rice pasta. I do not go NEAR "regular" wheat pasta... refined carbs having nothing to offer nutritionally and only add to what I call the "carb tummy" (that nice, soft pouch around the abs and hips that comes from too much bread and sugar). Rice pasta is gluten-free and made from brown rice, but looks just like normal pasta. I actually like the taste much better. It's topped with some delicious, no sugar added, organic marinara sauce.

Here I go again -- what is Chard?
1Chard or swiss chard is a type of greens, like spinach or kale. It comes in a few varieties based on the color of it's stem (like red or yellow chard, for example). You can read all about it here: [http://whfoods.org/genpage.php?tname=foodspice&dbid=160].
2Thanks!!
3That looks delicious!
